PitchPrint supports both PrestaShop 1.6 and 1.7 versions. Make sure to download the correct module version for your PrestaShop installation from our GitHub releases page. The module is designed to work seamlessly with PrestaShop's PHP architecture.
The PrestaShop module itself is free and open source, available on GitHub. However, you'll need a PitchPrint account to generate API keys and connect your store. PitchPrint offers a free trial, and reasonable paid plans.
After downloading and unzipping the module, upload the entire "pitchprint" folder to your PrestaShop modules directory (usually at /modules/). Make sure the pitchprint directory itself is inside modules, not just its contents. Use FTP or your hosting control panel's file manager.
Setting the uploads/files folder to 777 permissions allows PitchPrint to save customer designs and uploaded files. Without these permissions, the module won't be able to write files. Remember to implement security measures after installation as outlined in our documentation.
Yes! When you add your domain in the PitchPrint admin panel, you can still test on localhost even with a live domain URL registered. This allows you to fully test the module before launching your store to the public.
After installing and configuring the module, edit any product in Catalog → Products. Look for "PitchPrint" in the left menu at the bottom of the product editor. Click it to assign design templates to that specific product.
First, ensure you've assigned a design to the product and saved it. Check that your API keys are correctly entered in the module configuration. If issues persist, check our troubleshooting documentation or contact support—this may be a theme compatibility issue.
Once you've assigned a design to a product, a "Customize" button automatically appears on the product page. Customers click this button to launch the design editor and personalize the product before adding it to their cart.
PitchPrint automatically generates print-ready PDF files with proper bleeds, crop marks, and CMYK color profiles. You'll receive high-resolution files suitable for professional printing. Custom file format options are available in the admin settings.
When an order is placed with custom designs, you'll find the design download links in the order details. Each product with a custom design will have a download link attached, allowing you to retrieve the print-ready files.
