# Quickstart

> Sign up, install PitchPrint on your store, and take your first customizable order in under 15 minutes.

Welcome to PitchPrint! This guide takes you step-by-step from creating your account to downloading the print-ready PDF from your first customized order. You do not need any design or programming skills.

## Step 1: Create your account and keys

Set up the account and domain that will hold your designs and issue the keys your store uses.

    Go to [admin.pitchprint.io/register](https://admin.pitchprint.io/register) and create your free account, or [log in](https://admin.pitchprint.io/login) if you already have one.

  <Step title="Add a domain">
    Open the [Domains page](https://admin.pitchprint.io/domains) and click **Add Domain** in the top-right corner.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Name the domain">
    Type any name for the domain (it's just a label, and you can rename it later) and click **Submit**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Collect your keys">
    PitchPrint provisions the domain with a sample design and generates your **API Key** and **Secret Key**.

  The **API Key** identifies your store on the public-facing side. The **Secret Key** signs back-end requests and must be kept private. Never expose it in the browser.

## Step 2: Install PitchPrint on your store

Add the plugin for your platform so the editor appears on your product pages.

## Step 3: Create or import a design

A **design** is the template your customers personalize. Create one for each product you want customized.

    Open the [Designs page](https://admin.pitchprint.io/designs) in your PitchPrint admin.

    To test quickly, **import** a ready-made design from our store straight into your domain. You can also click **Create** to build one from scratch.

    Give the design a name and save it.

  Importing a sample design is the fastest way to see the full flow end-to-end before building your own.
</Tip>

## Step 4: Assign a design and place a test order

Link the design to a product, then try it as a customer would.

    In your store admin, open (or create) a product and assign your PitchPrint design to it.

  <Step title="Open the product on your storefront">
    Visit that product on your storefront. You'll see a **Customize** button.
  </Step>

    Click it to open the editor with your template loaded, personalize the design, and submit it.
  </Step>

## Step 5: Download your print-ready files

When a customer submits, PitchPrint generates a **project** with a print-ready PDF and a proof screenshot.

* On most platforms, download the PDF from the order in your **store admin's order page**.
* You can also grab a high-resolution raster (PNG) version of the design.

  On **Shopify** and **3DCart**, apps are not allowed on the order page. Download your files from the [Projects page](https://admin.pitchprint.io/projects) in the PitchPrint admin instead.
